Dennis Warner Obituary

Dennis Lee Warner of Lockhart, Texas, passed away at his home on December 24, 2024,
at the age of 70. Born August 14, 1954 in Oakes, North Dakota, Dennis, as a young
adult, met Gordy and Bonnie Millis, who introduced Dennis to the outdoor traveling
amusement industry. Dennis made a career bringing traveling carnival amusement ride
enjoyment to families across the United States and Canada, including carnivals like the Ray
Cammack Shows, Murphy Brothers, Thomas Carnival, and Crabtree Amusements. He
developed considerable skills in riding device maintenance, safety, and repair, and he was
recognized by industry safety organizations for his award winning efforts. He was a
member of the Outdoor Amusement Business Association; the Showmen’s League of
America; and the National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials—Dennis was a
level 3 certified amusement ride inspector. His skills also included electrical and generator
systems, truck driving, welding, building, and carnival logistics. After several years
battling cancer, he is finally at peace.
Dennis is preceded in death by his father, Clifford Warner, mother, Esther Rowell Warner,
brothers, Donald and Wilbur, sister, Irene Yde, and son, James Warner.
Dennis is survived by his son Dylan Warner, his grandchildren - Devon, Maggie, David,
Madisyn Warner and great granddaughter Adalina Ruiz.  His sisters, Linda Crabtree, Judith
Fredrick, Nancy Bigler, and nephews and nieces also survive.
